As part of developing our culture, we have spent the past year working towards the Healthy Workplaces Gloucestershire award and were proud to recently be amongst the first cohort to receive the Healthy Workplace accreditation. The award recognises HR People Support’s investment in the wellbeing and development of our team and the practices we have in place to ensure that wellbeing and employee engagement remain a key focus within our business.
We received the award alongside a group of local organisations including Cheltenham Borough Council, GFirst LEP, Gloucestershire County Council, UCAS, University of Gloucestershire and our friends at charity Hope for Tomorrow. All organisations have been through a rigorous process to develop and demonstrate processes and practices which enhance employee experience and ensure the wellbeing of employees. As part of the journey, we have implemented ways of working which ensure as a team and as individuals we regularly communicate, with individual wellbeing and stress checks a part of the communication. We have personal wellbeing plans, as well as developmental plans, which enable staff to be conscious of their own wellbeing. Information is also provided on a breadth of wellbeing topics, from health & safety at work, to lone working, alcohol to the importance of being active outside of work. Staff take part in a biannual satisfaction survey, monitored through our HR system. This enables us to monitor and measure staff attitudes, continuously learn and look to implement actions to keep morale, motivation and satisfaction levels high.
